There is a ledge that goes around the edge of the whelping box called the puppy guard rail. Most puppies like to sleep under it. However this little boy puppy liked to sleep on top of it. The ledge was a little too skinny for him to balance on. So he solved the problem by climbing on top of the water dish. He never fell in the water dish, but we were worried he might, so removed the dish. That left the ring that was holding the dish. He then liked to sleep in the ring - resulting in some pretty funny pictures.
