Woof! I'm Wind - if you heard about my chewing
wallets - no one can PROVE it was me. Being the youngest Poodle in the
family I get into trouble. Every day when I do something bad, they go
and look at my handsome pictures, to remember why they keep me. I'm
a very helpful boy. I help them to vaccum and mop, as well as dustbust
Susie and Kona's (the birds) feathers up. Can I help it the vaccum sometimes
gets me....? My brother and I were named Wind and Sun after the Aesop's
Fable. We decided to be born on the day Heidi was supposed to be acting
the story out in a skit. The name Wind kinda' stuck though. Then I was
named "Windwalker" by Gail Chapman, who raises Eng. Springer Spaniels
(Synergenic kennels). One day I was at her house (getting a tattoo-cool!!!)(I
told her to tattoo on "FUZZY TOY'S RULE!!" but she did a number instead
:-(. Never trust those tattoo artists. You tell 'em one thing and they
do another!!!) and she saw me trot across the kitchen with lovely "floating"
movement. I am fasinated by the wind, Heidi turns on the big edemco
dryer, then I bite the air blowing out. If I put my mouth on the end
it makes my cheeks go out all funny. It is also fun to bite the air
coming from the dustbuster. Heidi says that this makes it hard to vaccum
the feathers, but I know it helps her. Sometimes I help my people fill
the water jugs from the distiller for the fish tanks. I like to drink
the water when it is running. This way you are sure to get it fresh.
It works the same in the bathtub. I have only been to a couple of shows
since I just turned 6 months, but in half a month this is what I won:
1st show: BOB, pulled in adult group,
Best Puppy In Group, Best Puppy in Show (all-breed)-Phillis Wolfish
2nd show: BOB, Best Puppy in Group (all-breed)-Honey
Glendinning
3rd show: BW, Best Puppy in Show (Specialty)-Ann
Ingram, Poodle breeder
4th show: BW, Best Puppy In Group (all-breed)-Leslie
Rodgers + Nigel Aubrey-Jones
5th show: BOB, Best Puppy In Group (all-breed)-William
Taylor
6th show: BOB, Best Puppy in Group (all-breed),
pulled in adult group-Anne Rodgers-Clark
I
just got my Championship :-)
So now I only need 1 more point for my championship.
I like being a show dog. My Grandma Rosey taught me how to go out on the
end of the lead. That way I can make Heidi follow me around. On the family's
vacation they took me to British Columbia. I liked to walk on the beach
and carry the seaweed, but they said I couldn't take it back to the hotel
room . I guess some other dog might like to carry it. That's what they
told Paul when he wanted to take home the rocks for his rock collection.
Everyone thought I was very pretty when I walked along to the museums.
Can you believe it! They don't let Poodles in, so I took Mom outside for
walks in the park (which is way better than any old stuffy museum). I'm
a very good gardner, as well. I lie right next to the shovel when Heidi
is spading the flowers. That way I can eat the worms as she digs them up,
and then the worms don't gross her out. It's also fun biting the dirt as
she dumps it onto me. Between you and me Heidi isn't a very good gardner,
she kept pulling up these yellow flowers (muttering "stupid dandilions"
under her breath). Then she'd throw them away. So I would bring them back
for her. Every time they go to the store I get a new toy. My favorites
are the sheep that goes "baaa" and the lion that roars and the train that
whistles and goes "choo, choo". In my opinion the fuzzy toys are the best
(-fuzzy toys RULE!!!!).
Here is another picture of me.
